All of this is a recipe for a person to become anxious during their sightings and not be able to enjoy the true African beauty. Feeling disappointed that on their return home they are not able to share the magic that Africa had to offer them. There are also those moments that couples or groups want a photo together to remember being in that space at that time and one either has to opt out and take the shot or of late the unflattering mobile phone “selfies “ leaving both you and the attraction out of focus or with facial expressions and pose’s that others should just not see.
When traveling, memories are immortalised by photographs. Our experience of over a decade in the industry is that many arrive in Africa with the perception that the new camera their local store sold them, will be sufficient for their Safari and able to capture their memories accurately and reliably.
The reality is that often the equipment that has been sold to them is not suited for the distances, environment and even the lighting at which they see wildlife, the local people and the many wonderful sights. Added to that is more than often they actually don’t know how to use their new equipment. For us, the biggest factor is that for many visitors, so much of the experience is missed by the distraction of the taking of the photographs, rather than sipy enjoying the moment, and letting yourself become absorbed into the wondrous world around you!
The safari photographers role would be to accompany clients on their safari, their tour and any other adventure into Africa, to capture all the memorable moments they witness and experience. With top of the range equipment and over a decade of experience sharing, interpreting and capturing the beauty that Africa has to offer. The client will be able sit back and enjoy their safari with the peace of mind that there memories are being immortalised by a professional.

From a young age Chantelle found her passion for the immortalisation of memories. As a girl she was fortunate to travel to exciting and beautiful places around the world with her family, capturing images on camera. On her return home she would take these images and tastefully compile scrapbooks of her trips and adventures.
After completing her studies and moving to the African bush, Chantelle started working as a professional field guide and tracker. She has since collected many amazing stories of her African experiences, captivating guests with her adventures and close encounters with some of Africa’s animals…
Chantelle has successfully managed luxury 4 and 5 star lodges across Southern and Eastern Africa. She has an innate passion for Africa and from a young age she knew her roots were firmly placed in this Continent and has chosen to stay in Africa despite having offers to leave. During her years in the African bush, she was able to develop and nurture her passion of photography. In fact so successfully, that her photographs have been purchased by leading artists who in turn have transformed them into masterful paintings and many of her photographs grace the walls of homes around the world.
The added charm with Chantelle is her people skills, this having resulted in many service accolades; certificates and staff awards. Her African name is ‘Inyoni’ meaning “Bird “, given to her by her staff in Zululand, and “Mother” by her staff in Tanzania. This stems from her contagious confidence and the ability to truly care, not just for her guests but also her staff.
With over a decade of photography, travel and hospitality experience, Chantelle will be able to anticipate, accurately capture and immortalise the memory of the moment while the client can enjoy their African safari.
